Regular Season Round 1: Immortals - Ponton 93-111

An exciting game was played in Santiago. Ponton faced Immortals. Guests from La Vega defeated host Immortals 111-93. Randy Santos stepped up and scored 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds for the winners and Brayan Rosado chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. Five Ponton players scored in double figures. Ponton's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Edwin Espinal (198-1996) responded with 25 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Yunior Martinez (180-2002) scored 20 points and 4 assists. Ponton will meet Parque Hostos in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Immortals will play against Puerto Plata and hope to secure a win.
